Left Side Panel ready for riveting

Picked up from where I had left off yesterday and finished all the deburring. After that went went and put the whole panel back together. It is ready for riveting now

before calling it a night, went ahead and made the two cross ties (SNX-F16-09/10) needed for attaching the side panel at the front.

Left Fueslage deburring

Today started on the left side panel and manged to deburr everything with the exception of the skin since we had some guests come over.

Right fuselage Side Panel Continued

Took apart the right fuselage side panel and went ahead and attached the doubler to the upper longeron where the windshield tubes goes in. After that spend the new few hours on deburring and getting the panel ready for riveting

Right Side Panel updrilled

Today after coming back from work, went ahead and updrilled the right forward fuselage side panel

Left Forward Fuselage Side Panel Updrilled

Today completed attaching the engine mount bracket to the left side panel. After than went ahead and updrilled the complete panel to the needed size holes. This also included updrilling the brackets and other assemblies to 3/16 as per the plans

Forward Fuselage Side Panels Continued

Tonight using the Z02-03 channel stock made the firewall attached clips for both the side and went ahead and completed the assembly with the hinge and the angle stock.

After than went ahead and drilled and attached both the assemblies to the side panels. Next pilot drilled and clecoed the engine mount brackets to the right side panel and called it a night

Left Forward Fuselage Side Panel Started

It has bee a crazy few weeks with work and other personal obligation so I haven’t spend a whole lot of time on the project. Today I made it a point to go down to the basement and work on the for fuselage. Spend a couple of hours and pilot drilled and attached the the angle stock components on the left side panel. Hopefully I will get to work on it more over the weekend

Right Forward Fuselage Assembly

Today first of all wrapped up the missing parts that I had made patterns for yesterday. After that started putting the right panel together. There are just too many pieces that go on this panel.

Before calling it a day wrapped up most of it with the exception of a couple of pieces that still needs to be attached

Forward Fuselage Skin Continued

It was a marathon day today and made a lot of good progress. Cut and finalized both the forward fuselage side skins including all the holes and slots.

After that went ahead and cut the 3/16 thick phenolic sheet to made the parts needed for the canopy latches. Next went ahead and laid out all the parts on the right side skin and realized that I was missing a couple of parts.

Using tracing paper made the needed patterns and glued then on the 1/8 plate. I will work on these tomorrow.
